Russell "Rusty" Lloyd Measels, 53, of Olin, passed away quietly in the night on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at his home. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin, where a Scripture service will be held at 5 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Rusty was a great dad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. A lover of nature, he always wore his heart on his sleeve.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Caitlynn and Jacob; mother, Sandra Burns; sisters, Tamra, Tricia and Emily; brothers, Charles and Richard; many cousins, Richie, Dee Dee, Carolynn, Wendy, Linda, Sissy Gil, Cindy, Junior and Christina; nieces, Rachael and Kayla; nephews, Joseph, Joshua and Darrell; and many cousins and great-nieces. He is also survived by great friends, Lance, Eileen and Richie Randall; many friends in the community; also his dog, Pepper; pet kittens; and his beloved goose.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Measels; and son, Dalton James.
