Russell, Robert 'Bob' Lee

Robert “ Bob” Lee Russell, 73, of Rochester, Minn., died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Rochester. Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Sunday, August 7, at Campton Cemetery, Lamont. Arrangements by Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester.

Bob was born July 15, 1938, in Numa, Iowa, the son of Marion Travis and Nedra Pauline (Allen) Russell. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1961 to 1967. Bob was a research and development engineer for various engineering firms in Iowa and southern Minnesota, retiring after 40 years. He married Nancy Ann Ahrens on Dec. 26, 1964 in Kirksville, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; and children, Suzann Marie (Lenny) Bakken and Damon Scott (Amber) Russell, both of Rochester, Minn.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nevaeh Paige Crowson, Caitlin Rose Bakken and Logan Lee Bakken.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, bowling and classic cars, and was a member of Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
