Rusher, Norabelle 'Billie'
Norabelle “Billie” Rusher, 95, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Fort Madison Health Center. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Heather Hayes. Entombment: 1 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Billie is survived by sons, Keith (Jan) Rusher of Fort Madison, and Del (Sandy) Rusher of Las Vegas, Nev.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noel; daughter, Elaine McGinness; and two sisters.
Billie was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Des Moines, and married Noel Rusher there on Sept. 2, 1933. She was a buyer for Killians Department Store for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
