Ruiz, Brandon Luis
Brandon Luis Ruiz, 2-year-old son of Steven and Julie Ruiz of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 28, 2011. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Ivan Nienhaus will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Caitlin Ruiz; four brothers, Daniel Ruiz, Tyler Ruiz, Mark Ruiz and twin brother Bryce Ruiz; and soon to be little sister, Shelby Ruiz, all of Cedar Rapids; his grandparents, Mary Shea, Jane and Luzaro Ruiz; his aunts and uncles, Donna Kapsalakis, Lazaro Ruiz Jr., Stephanie Giblin and Cynthia Ruiz, all of Cedar Rapids; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Shea.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Brandon.
