Ruff, Emaline Louise (Bryson)
Emaline Louise (Bryson) Ruff, 74, of Middle Amana, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Mercy Hallmar in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Middle Amana Community Church, Middle Amana, with Elder Eleanor Hoehnle officiating. Burial will be in Middle Amana Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Middle Amana Church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Emaline is survived by her husband, Henry Ruff; her children, Deborah VandeVoort (John) of Shawnee, Kan., Dianne Schlesselman (Robert) of Williamsburg, Douglas Bryson (Angelika) of Middle Amana, Jamie Bryson (Susie) of Middle Amana and Ida Bryson of Iowa City; a stepson, Eric Ruff (Sherry) of Redding, Calif.; eight grandchildren, James Schlesselman (Stefani), Erica VandeVoort, Erin Nichols (Austin), Carissa Bryson, Reese Bryson, Renata Bryson, Gina Bryson and Levi Bryson; a stepgrandson, Austin Ruff; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Schlesselman and Samantha Schlesselman. Also surviving are her siblings, Norine Magee (Larry) of Middle Amana and Dennis Dietrich (Dennis) of Iowa City; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson of Belle Plaine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Jim Bryson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
