Ruby was born on July 9, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Francis (Dlask) Prochaska. She was a 1945 graduate of Roosevelt High School and went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa. On April 21, 1946, Ruby was united in marriage to Virgil Allen Rawson Sr. Together they raised five children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2016, Virgil Sr.; two sons, Jeffrey and Mark Rawson; daughter, Angie Foster; and son-in-law, Dan Foster.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Keystone Cedars and St. Croix Hospice staff for the care shown to Ruby.
