Ruby Eileen Mohr, 94, passed away peacefully at the Clarence Nursing Home on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019. Memorial services will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, with visitation one hour before. Burial will be at a later date in Smithtown Cemetery, Lost Nation.
Ruby was born July 22, 1924, in Clinton County to Soren and Elsie Roden Fuglsang. She was married to G. Arnold Mohr on April 16, 1943, in Lost Nation. He passed away on Jan. 22, 1999.
Survivors include her children, Myron (Carma) Mohr of Center Point; Iola Bicknese of Clarence; Onita Mohr (Bill McClain) of Decorah; Timothy Mohr of Clarence; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preseded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra De La Mater; son, Gordon Mohr; and sister, Fonda Bonney.
Ruby was a graduate of Lost Nation High School and was employed at Rockwell Collins from 1962 to 1985. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and card games, camping and square dancing with her husband. She farmed with her husband in her earlier years and missed it greatly.
