Rozanne “Rozie” Margaret Christy, 75, of Fairfax, IA, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at The University of Iowa Hospital. No services will be held per her wishes; cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Psychiatry Department Fund to help the patients she loved.
Rozie was born on January 7, 1950, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Baumann) Sulentic. She was a Psychiatric Nurse Assistant for The University of Iowa Hospital for over 34 years, retiring in 2019. Rozie had an exceptional work ethic and a lot of pride in her job and the patients she took care of. She worked extremely hard to give her children the best life possible.
Rozie loved her children fiercely and was a remarkable woman. She was spicy with a kind heart and loved Michael Bolton, TJ Maxx, Starbucks and Judge Judy. Just as unique as the spelling of her name, Rozie (spelled with a “z”), was loved by so many and will be missed terribly.
