Royale A. Daniels, 82, of Maynard, died Sept. 29, 2016, at Oelwein Health Care Center in Oelwein.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Highland Lutheran Church, rural Elkader. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment: Highland Lutheran Cemetery, rural Elkader.

Royale Avis Halverson was born Aug. 20, 1934, in Gunder, Clayton County, Iowa, the daughter of Roy G. and Alvina (Ruroden) Halverson. Royale married James E. Daniels and two children were born to this union, Jari and Brad. Royale and Jim later divorced. Royale retired from Rockwell Collins in 1999.
Royale is survived by her daughter, Jari (Dan) Schmitt of Winthrop; son, Brad (Mary) Daniels of Randalia; three grandchildren, Traci Schmitt of Waterloo, Staci (Andy) Osborn of Winthrop and Joshua Schmitt of Winthrop; four siblings, Gary (Carolyn) Halverson of Tahlequah, Okla., Lynn (Vernon) Ames of Marion, Larry (Kristen) Halverson of Elkader and Jaynee (Phil) Ruckdashel of Elgin; many nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.
Royale was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James R. Halverson; and godson, Gary James Halverson.
