Roy Allan Humphrey, 83, of Anamosa, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Roy was born June 11, 1939, to Thomas and Elsie (Stephan) Humphrey in Valley City, N.D. He married Bonnyle Secrist on Feb. 3, 1965, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Roy worked for many years at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and greatly enjoyed early retirement.
In his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and boating on the Mississippi River. He will be deeply missed by his family.
He is survived by children, Ann (Al) Weers of Anamosa, Kay (Steve) Paulsrud of Muscatine, Nancy (Bill) Schreiber of Muscatine, Dan (Deanna) Humphrey of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Troy Humphrey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Rob (Carol) Humphrey of Glendale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Chris Carpenter (Jasmine Bird), Katy Bloom, Jessica (Dan) Piehl, Aaron Weers, Wayne Schreiber (Brooklyn Bermel), Caitlin (David) Gregory, Dillon (Lezza) Humphrey, Monae (Eric) Best, Danielle Humphrey and Troy Humphrey Jr.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Bonnyle; his parents; brother, Tom; and son, Mike.
