Roxanne Marie Grulkey, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at her home. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
Roxanne was born on October 4, 1954, in Iowa, and raised by Raymond Ira and Delores Arlene (Michels) Grulkey. She was a 1973 graduate of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. Roxanne worked many years as a forklift operator at General Mills in Cedar Rapids, before her retirement. She was an antique enthusiast, collected many of them, and often enjoyed antiquing with her mom. Roxanne loved researching genealogy and enjoyed taking vacations to visit the graves of her ancestors. She also enjoyed shopping and making crafts. Roxanne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Roxanne is survived and lovingly remembered by her brother, Steven Grulkey of Marion; two nieces, Megan and Emily Grulkey of Louisiana; special friend, Deb (Matt) Hoy of Marion; and extended family including an aunt, a few half-siblings, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Douglas Grulkey and David Grulkey.
