Rowe, Justin Lee

Justin Lee Rowe, 34, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Celebration of Life service was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter officiated. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10 at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
Justin was born June 1, 1977, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Douglas L. and Diane M. (Dermody) Rowe. He attended Lutheran Interparish School and graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1995. Justin was united in marriage to Sarah Melissa Sandhagen on Aug. 15, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. The couple made their home in Williamsburg. Justin enjoyed working for 20 years as a seed technician for Monsanto Seed in Williamsburg.
He enjoyed being outside, fishing, riding his motorcycle, mushroom hunting, spending time with family, friends and his English bulldog Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah of Williamsburg; his parents, Douglas and Diane Rowe of Conroy; four brothers, his twin, Aaron Rowe of Ames, Azariah Rowe of Conroy, Jacob Rowe of Eldridge and Jared Rowe (Amanda Finnegan) of Amana; a sister, Alisha Rowe of Cedar Rapids; a nephew, Connor Finnegan; a grandfather, Clement Dermody of North English; a grandmother, Florine Rowe of Williamsburg; father- mother in-law, Bruce and Wanda Sandhagen of Atkins; two sisters-in-law, Monica (Gary) Buser of Palestine, Ill., and Amy (Mike) Kubas of Williamsburg; a brother-in-law, Matt (Trina) Sandhagen of Keystone; and nephews and nieces, Lance Sandhagen, Caleb and Logan Kubas and Bradley and Erin Buser.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Blanche Dermody; and grandfather, Ernest “Gene” Rowe.
A general memorial has been established.
