Harold B. Rowe Jr., 83, died at peace after bravely fighting ALS on Feb. 17, 2012, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Feb. 20, Hope Wesleyan Church, Independence. Burial: Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at White Funeral Home, Independence.
Survivors: his wife, Joanne; sons: Hal (Debbie) Rowe, Spokane, Wash.; Ken Rowe, Edina, Minn.; David (Trang) Rowe, Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Rachelle, Eric, Madeleine, Graham; and sisters, Lois Petre, Louisville, Colo., and Nancy Haimbaugh, Sedona, Ariz.
