Rouse, Michael Arthur
Michael Arthur Rouse, 58, peacefully passed away from cancer in the home of his daughter on Oct. 27, 2011.
Michael was born the son of Mike R. and Mabel U. Rouse on Feb. 21, 1953. He was the owner of Jewel Painting, was an acclaimed guitarist, a roadhouse rocker, and an avid motorcyclist.
Surviving are his daughter, Robyn (Nathaniel) Fredericks; son, Avram Rouse; mother, Mabel Rouse; brother, Tom Rouse (Brenda Galli); sisters, Marilyn (Gerry) Heaverlo and Carolyn Novak; 11 nieces and nephews; and Marilyn Hatfield, former wife and friend, all of Cedar Rapids; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at 3717 First Ave. SE, Town & Country Shopping Center, Cedar Rapids.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
