Rothman, Cheryl M.
Cheryl M. Rothman (nee Darrow), 65, of Pittsgrove, N.J., passed away suddenly on Saturday evening, March 31, 2012, in the Kennedy Health Systems, Stratford, N.J., after being in failing health.
Mrs. Rothman was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was a longtime Vineland city resident, before moving to Pittsgrove in 2009.
Mrs. Rothman was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. She was a homemaker and had also worked for N.J. Bell Telephone Co., Vineland Public Schools as an aide and for Swanson's Hardware. She was an active member of the Vineland First Church of the Nazarene where she served as treasurer for many years. Cheryl was an avid reader and enjoyed her time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary L. Rothman; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Tim Vaughn, Pittsgrove; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Ruth Rothman, Weymouth, Mass.; grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew and Aiden Vaughn and Benjamin and Jacob Rothman; mother, Camille Darrow, Cedar Rapids; sister, Bonnie Darrow, California; brothers, Larry Darrow, Missouri, Dennis and Randy Darrow, California; and Gary and Rick Darrow, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Vineland First Church of the Nazarene, 2725 N. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ; where her memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Cremation and inurnment will be private.
