Rossmiller, Gabriel 'Gabe' N.
Gabriel “Gabe” N. Rossmiller, 4, son of Amanda and Mark Rossmiller, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, from struggles since his birth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Gabriel Nathanael Rossmiller was born Aug. 7, 2006, in Iowa City, the son of Mark and Amanda (Paisley) Rossmiller. He had been attending Mark Twain Preschool the past couple of months with sheer delight and love. His new little friends and teachers were so good to him, and he so looked forward to each day there. Gabriel loved his life; he loved being held, being sung to by family and friends, listening to music, looking at the Christmas lights this time of year, and just enjoying the wind on his face, such simple pleasures for our little Gabe.
His family includes his parents, Amanda and Mark; his older sister, Charlotte; grandparents, Kris Rossmiller of Des Moines and Deborah and Clifford Porter of Clinton; great-grandparents, Henry and Kay Wozniak of Rock Island, Ill.; his aunt and uncle, Ann and Brian Meyer of Des Moines; and his cousins, Evelyn and Clara.
Gabriel's grandfather, Kenneth Rossmiller, died this past year.
A memorial fund has been established in Gabe's memory.
