Ross, John Joseph
John Joseph Ross, 52 of Waverly, Iowa, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, after a long battle with liver disease. Memorial Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
John is survived by his life partner, Lisa Slocum and her son, Chase Slocum both of Waverly; his daughter, StarLeigh Morrow (Aaron Griffin) of Cedar Rapids; his stepdaughter, Kathy Johnson of Vinton; parents, John “Clark” and Joanie Ross of Waterloo; brothers, Edwin (Nancy) Ross of Waterloo and Earl (Dawn) Ross of Hudson; sister, Beth (Josh) Dunkel of Center Point; granddaughter, Ayla; stepgrandsons, Cory, Kyle, Clayton and Tanner; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Irma Hadrava; and his paternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Ross.
