Ross Henderson, 59, of Olin, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the United Methodist Church in Olin. A visitation will be Sunday, July 24, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin. Burial will be at Olin Cemetery following the time of the service.
Ross Aaron Henderson was born May 26, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Dean and Rosetta (Lyon) Henderson. Ross was an Olin High School graduate. He farmed the family farm and later worked at Jeff Hanken Construction Co. and PMX.
Ross was a member of 4-H. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting and playing slow-pitch softball. He loved his dogs and farming. He often took joy in boating, skiing and racing stock cars. He especially enjoyed time he spent with his girls and grandkids.
Those left to cherish her memories are his two daughters, Stacey (K.C.) Fuhrmeister of Anamosa and Hilary (Steve) Ruzas of Yorkville, Ill.; five grandkids, Jackson, Trenton, Cooper, Grant and Avery, two sisters, Jana Henderson of Anamosa and Deanne Henderson Dunn of Roseville, Minn.; niece, Meghann (Michael) Masters of St. Paul, Minn.; and great-nephew, Ethan Masters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
