Rosina "Rose" Bartosh, 82, of Cedar Rapids, entered into her eternal rest Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a 6:30 p.m. Scripture service, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Bartosh; children, Elaine (Sheik) Asad of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Mary (Gary) Croy of Cedar Rapids, Patricia (Jay) Carnell of Tampa, Fla., Lisa (Jason) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, John (Tammy) Bartosh of Cedar Rapids and Darlene (Matt) Hughes of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Christina (Darren) Olson, Stephanie (Chris) Logan, Lucas and Clint Carnell, Adam and Hanna Asad, Addy and Owen Anderson, Tonya (Brendon) Bartosh, Connor and Courtnie Bartosh and Brandon and Tyler Hughes; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Olson, Charlie Logan, Skyler Stinger and Hadley Jacobson; sister, Vera (Leon) Mehring of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Rose was born on June 27, 1933, in London, England, to James and Lydia (Brinkworth) Handshaw. She graduated high school in England. Rose moved to the United States in 1958. She married Bob Bartosh on Oct. 21, 1971. She worked as a secretary in religious education at St. Ludmila's for 25 years. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
The family extends a thank you to the staff at Meadow View for the special care given to Rose.
