Rosie Mary Bascom, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Crestview Acres.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Salem United Methodist Church, 3715 33rd Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. A luncheon will follow right after the service. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the church.
Rosie is survived by a daughter, Sharon Campbell of Cedar Rapids; son, Edward Bascom Sr. (Pam) of Robins; sister, Lois McCloney (Junior) of Osceola; sister-in-law, Louise Lazenby of Vinton; grandchildren, Corey Campbell (Kim), Clinton Campbell (Kitira), Edward Bascom Jr. (Lindsay), Timothy Bascom (Barbara), Lisa Bradley (Lee); and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Belva (Ward) Lazenby; brother, William Lazenby; sister, Ruth Wathier; and grandson, Jason Vandersee.
Thank you to Crestview Acres for all your support and care given to Rosie. Mercy Hospice, we also want to thank you for all your amazing staff and support. Special thanks to Betty Klein for staying by Rosie's and Ed Sr.'s side all through the night.
