Rosemary (Rose) Yardley, died peacefully, Sunday, August 24, 2025 at her home in Iowa City, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with funeral services following at 3:00 p.m. Private burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or Iowa City Hospice.
Survivors include her husband, James; their children: Jeffrey Yardley, Steven (Kolby) Yardley, and Anne (Jay) Johnson; grandchildren: Rylee (fiancé Cole Janz), Payton (Dylan Adcock), Samantha (Anabelle Franklin), Drew, Tayte, and Emersyn; siblings: Floyd Six and John Six; sisters-in-law: MJ Yardley and Suzanne Yardley; and brother-in-law, Joe Wright. She is also survived by numerous nieces, a nephew, and great-nieces and -nephews, dear friends, and her darling dog Lily, who snuggled her mom until the end.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters: Sandy, David, Don, and Carol, her beloved in-laws: Lee and Dorothy, and lifelong friend, Carolyn (Tootsie) Forsyth.
