Rosemary Frost, 87, of Hiawatha, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Oldorf House Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m., at the church. Burial to follow at 2 p.m., Sancta Maria Cemetery in Gilbertville. Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Rosemary and her family.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Gerald Frost of Hiawatha; six children, Wanda Terry of Cedar Rapids, Steve (Lisa) Frost of Marion, Donald (Karen) Frost of Toddville, Ken (Nina) Frost of St. Paul, MN, Paul Frost of Hiawatha and Robert (Michelle) Frost of Scranton, PA; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim (Linda) Sawyer of Cedar Falls and David (Glenda) Sawyer of McMinnville, TN.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Frost, and sister, Ida Philips.
Rosemary Margaret Sawyer was born on May 30, 1936, the daughter of Dallas Everett and Rose Josephine (Wieland) Sawyer in Waterloo. She was united into marriage to Gerald Frost on April 26, 1955. Rosemary loved the time she spent with her family and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Oldorf House Hospice of Mercy in Rosemary’s name.
