Rosemary E. Johnson, 77, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Oldorf Hospice House. Services will be held Monday, May 8, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with memorial service at noon. Committal service will follow at the graveside.
Rosemary was born June 27, 1945, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Philip and Dorothy (Brewer) Kauten. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1963. In November 1970, she was united in marriage to Duane L. Johnson. Their union was blessed with two children, Scott and Dawn. Rosemary loved sewing, cruises, and spending time with her grandson. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish Rosemary’s memory are her husband, Duane; son, Scott (Stacy) Johnson of Cedar Rapids; son-in-law, Dusty Hetrick of Oquawka, Ill.; grandson, Dalton; brothers, Darrell, Phil and Rod; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Dawn.
The family would like to thank Oldorf Hospice and Mercy Hospital for their care for Rosemary.
