ROSE RIDENOUR

Rose "Rosie" M. Ridenour, 65, of Manchester, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, at First Lutheran Church, Manchester, by Tony Ede. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Masonville.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; children, Larissa (Chris) Gallagher and Nathan Ridenour; grandchildren, Savanna Gallagher and Tristan Gallagher; father, Dean Powers; and siblings, Ronnie (Tammy) Jacobson, Mary Gibbs, R.J. (Julie) Jacobson, Jeff (Christy) Jacobson and Joni (Don) Jacobson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Powers; daughter, Kendra Ridenour; and dad, John
Jacobson.
Rose was born Feb. 5, 1949, in Anamosa, the daughter of Ivan and Ollie (Bemrose) Powers. She married Larry Ridenour on July 13, 1974, at First Lutheran Church in Manchester. Rose graduated from North Eastern Iowa Community College, where she earned her nursing degree. She was very proud to be a nurse, working at the Manchester Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar
Rapids.
Rose enjoyed gardening, canning fruit, crocheting, reading, was an avid runner and especially enjoyed being part of the Campfire Group.
