Rose T. Hansel, 95, of Manchester, formerly of Petersburg, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750
12th Ave. SW, Dyersville, where a parish vigil service will be at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. John O'Connor will officiate.
Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Herman of Manchester and Elaine Hansel of Dubuque; grandsons, Tony (Dawn) Herman of Hazleton, Robert (Melanie) Herman of St. Cloud, Fla., Chris (friend Cortney) Wuchter of Earlville and Jeff (Trish) Szalkowski of Dubuque; eight great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Ed Pape of Manchester and his three children; and a sister, Anna Marie Ries of Dyersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1994; a son, Robert, in 1970; a daughter, Dianne Wuchter, in April 2015; a son-in-law, Rodney Herman; and siblings, Catherine Wolf, John Scherbring, Lawrence Scherbring, Christina Scherbring and Clementine Wolf.
