ROSE BROCKMAN Cedar Rapids Rose F. Brockman, 75, a resident of the Promise House in Hiawatha, died there Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. The Rev. David Beckman will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Survivors include a daughter, Karla (Andy) Anton of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Frank Jr., John and Bill Kneeland; five sisters, Kathy Schaeffer, Terri Wasco, Rita Kneeland, Patti Freidhoff and Peggy Burvee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Lanzel. Rose was born July 7, 1939, in LaCrosse, Wis., the daughter of Frank and Margaret Cain Kneeland. She married Arnold G. Brockman on Sept. 10, 1960, in Wisconsin. They were later divorced. Rose was a medical technician the first part of her working career and later was employed at Cargill Analytical Services, retiring from there after more than 22 years of service. Rose was a faithful member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and an avid sports enthusiast. She was a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her friends and beloved family. Rose was a wonderful daughter, mother and sister whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
