Rose Britt, 91, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Hopkinton. Interment:
Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the church. The Rev. John Kremer will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home has been entrusted to handle the services.

Surviving are two sons, Larry (Karen) and Pat (Gail), both of Delhi; her four grandsons, Shawn Britt, Scott (Hilarie) Britt, Kelly Britt and Jamie (Angie) Britt; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Aspen and Brogan; her sister, Laura (Art) Feldman, Hopkinton; and a sister-in-law, Rita Wilgenbusch, Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, of 48 years; eight sisters, Mable Guthrie, Viola Trumm, Myrtle Krogmann, Gladys Kirby, Ethel Kenny, Alice Kirpes, Mary Lauersdorf and Elsie Ries; and four brothers, Frank, Thomas (Frances), John and Herman (Bud) Wilgenbusch.
Rosella W. Wilgenbusch was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Farley, Iowa, the daughter of Nicholas and Rosena Atkinson Wilgenbusch. Rose attended rural schools near her home. Rose married Paul Britt on May 3, 1944, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Sand Springs. The couple farmed near Buck Creek. Rose also worked as a meat cutter at Wilson Foods and later Farmstead Foods in Cedar Rapids for 34 years. Paul preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1992. Rose had been a resident of the Good Neighbor Home for since 2013.
Rose loved to garden and can her produce, raise flowers, refinish furniture, collect teapots, play cards and go fishing with her cane pole. She loved to decorate for Christmas.
