Rosalie M. Severinsen, 84, of Macomb, Ill., died Oct. 2, 2014, of comp-lications due to brain surgery.
She grew up in Marion and graduated from Marion High School in 1948. She was a retired speech teacher, prolific seamstress and active in many area organizations.
Preceding her in death was her husband, K. Norman Severinsen; and her parents, Robert and Iva Hess.
She is survived by their children, Kay (Joseph) McElroy of Naperville, Ill., and Kris (Maureen) Severinsen of Germantown Hills, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
She is also survived by siblings, Diane Allen, Marion, Nancy Lang, West Branch, Pat Wullschleger, Home, Kan., and Tom Hess, Robins.
Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Macomb, on Oct. 2, 2014.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or National Parkinson's Foundation.
