Rory Matthew Ditzler, 59, of West Branch, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday April 6, at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in West Branch with Father Gary Beckman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, where a time a sharing will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be at the West Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Foundation or National Kidney Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Barb Ditzler of West Branch, Iowa; two children, Megan (Travis) Ditzler and Tyler Pizzurro of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandson, Joseph Teufel; siblings, Ronald (Louise) Ditzler, Roberta Laska, Raymond (Lee Ann) Ditzler and Rhonda (Thomas) Ceska; siblings-in-law, Linda (Steve) Noll, Dave (Joan) Kabela, Lois (Mike) Coates and Steve (Darcy) Kabela; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lourdes (Thurn) Ditzler; parents-in-law, Darlene and Frank Kabela; a sister, Rochelle Evans; and brother-in-law, brother-in-law Carey Laska.
