Ronnie Alfonso Williams died Feb. 10, 2016. He was born June 22, 1955, in Helena, Ark., the ninth child of Annie B. Smith and Robert Williams Sr. Ronnie graduated from Central High School in West Helena. He moved to Cedar Rapids where he began work at P&H Harnischfeger. He enrolled at Kirkwood Community College at the same time and received a welding dgree. Ronnie relocated to Detroit, Mich., in 1978 and was hired at Ford Motor Co. He worked there for more than 30 years, spending five years at the Atlanta plant. He retired in 2008.

Ronnie loved many different sports including basketball, tennis, golf, fishing, hunting and others. He was very generous and truly loved his family and friends.

Ronnie is mourned by his children, Srron, Latrel and Shiloh; his siblings, Earnestine W. Simpson, Robert Williams (Kay), Foster Williams (Ulysses), Hiawatha W. Evans (Donald), Earie J. Seals (Alvin), Cornelious Williams, Wesley Wiliams, Rodney Williams (Debra), Gloria Williams, Sina Williams, Sidney Brewer (Joella), Cora D. Brewer and Jacqueline Brewer; more than 30 nieces and nephews; cousins; and a host of good friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Robert Williams Sr.; mother, Annie B. Williams Brewer Lee; and niece and nephew, Wesley and Raven.

Services: 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, O.H. Pye III Funeral Home, 17600 Plymouth Rd., Detroit, MI 48227. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Tributes will be accepted Friday at the funeral home.
