Ronette Kay Ternus, 65, of Shellsburg, Iowa, passed away on Dec. 22, 2020, following a short illness.
Ronette was born in Vinton, Iowa. The youngest daughter of Harold and Edith (Gardner) Fiebelkorn. She was married to Steve Ternus on Aug. 19, 1972, in Shellsburg. She was an amazing mother and grandmother and gave joy to all of her family and the friends she always treated as family. The Ternus pool was open to all and Ronette loved to spend time in the backyard swimming, playing with her grandkids, tending her flowers and relaxing by the bonfire.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Ternus; brothers, Bud (Phylis) Fiebelkorn and Donald Fiebelkorn; parents, Harold and Edith Fiebelkorn; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Ronette is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Jamie Ternus, TJ (Emily) Ternus and Cassandra Ternus; and grandchildren, Nicole and Abigail Nina, Miekela and Zachary Ternus and Bryan and Leslie Graves.
At this time, there will not be a funeral, but the family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Our family would like to thank the staff at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for the care and love that they extended to the family through her time in the ICU and hospice care.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Palo Savings Bank.
