Ronald John Sharp, 79, passed away March 23, 2022, in his hometown of Tucson, Ariz.
Ron is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Rick Sharp of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Andrea Sharp (Glen) Kothe of Afton, Mo.; grandchildren, Alex Sharp and Elizabeth Kothe; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and three brothers, Larry Sharp (Claire) and Dennis Sharp (Chris) of Cedar Rapids and Jim Sharp (Pam) of Marion, Iowa.
Ron was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Washington, Iowa. He was a graduate of Linn-Mar High School. The Lions mascot nickname was submitted by Ron. He and Julie were avid bargain shoppers and sold their wares from their collectors shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Wilma Sharp; and his niece, Shauna Sharp.
