Ronald L. Palas, 65, of Arlington, died Tuesday morning, May 2, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 8, at St. John Lutheran Church, Arlington. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Arlington and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment: Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington.
Memorial Fund: Arlington Fire Department and EMTs.

Ron is survived by his wife, Denise Palas of Arlington; sons, Chad (Paula) Palas of Arlington and Shane Palas of Strawberry Point; daughter, Amanda Palas of Eden Prairie, Minn.; five grandchildren, Hailey, Aidyn, Emma, Ellis and Kellan; four brothers, Gary (Sandee) Palas of Swisher, David (Theresa) Palas of Volga, Mark (Cindy) Palas of Ely and Brian (Carole) Palas of Ely; sister, Lori (Dennis) Bergan of Elkader; and mother-in-law, Mary Kahrs of Arlington.
