Buckner, Ky.
Ronald Earl Nelson, 63, of Buckner, Ky., passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.
He was a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and worked with many companies, the latest being Manitowoc Beverage and General Electric. He attended Northeast Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl O. Nelson.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Joan; children, Stacy Pohlman, Lindsay Reynolds (Chad), Laura Berg (Will) and Ryan Nelson (Jo); mother, Maxine Nelson; sister, Jane Murdoch (Al); nine grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ron's life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Northeast Christian Church, 9900 Brownsboro Rd., Louisville, Ky., with visitation there from 11 a.m. until time of service.
