Ronald C. Moroney of Winthrop died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Immaculate Conception Church, Masonville. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Bohnenkamp Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, with a 4 p.m. Scripture service, and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. before the Mass on Tuesday also at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Masonville.
Ron was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Lamont, Iowa, the son of Bernard and Irene (Lawless) Moroney. He was educated in the area. Ron was a farmer all of his life, raising cattle, and crop farming. Ron was a helpful hand, always ready to assist his friends and family.
Survivors include his son, Brad Moroney of Winthrop; his brother, James Moroney of Winthrop; nephews, Pat Moroney of Leup City, Neb., and Mike Moroney of Las Vegas, Nev.; a niece, Melissa (Mark) Skeeters of Dallas, Texas; and several cousins.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
