Ronald was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Iowa City, the son of Ronald G. and Betty (Klumforth) McNabb. He attended Iowa City schools, graduating from City High School in 1966. He had worked at both the local hospitals, Mercy and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, but his most rewarding job was as a baker at the Sheraton Hotel in Iowa City. After attending baking school he became a very good baker!
He was baptized as an adult at River Community Church and was a faithful member. He was a member of Eagles Lodge in Iowa City, always finding reasons to be out driving in his car, but most of all, he loved his son, Joey; the two of them were as tight as it gets.
His family includes his son, Joseph "Joey" McNabb of Iowa City; sisters, Barbara (Dallis) Meier of Iowa City and Betty Lee Welsh-Fisher of Irvine, Calif.; and Judith (Mark) Standard of Hanover, N.M.; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Daniel.
