Ronald Lee Meier, 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away early Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Fairfax City Hall Building, 300 80th St. Court, Fairfax, Iowa.
Ronald was born on Sept. 3, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the son of the late Allen and Delores Meier. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working as a proud business owner at C & R Auto Clean. Ron will always be remembered for his sense of humor and living his life to the fullest. Ron always had great one liners, a cooler full of PBR and was always looking for a good arm wrestling challenge. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his children, Renea (Mike) Readshaw, Tina Coufal (Brian Miller), Jason (Jennifer) Meier, Justin Meier and Jessica Meier; grandchildren, Whitney Readshaw, Courtney Readshaw, Haleigh McMurrin, Breanna McMurrin, Sophie Meier, Mason Coufal, Reid Meier, Emma Meier, Shiloh Meier and Quincy Williams; his siblings, Robert (Connie) Meier, Rod (Mary Jo) Meier, Allen (Kathy) Shafer, Denise (Rod) Anderberg, Deborah (John) Casper and Pamela Meier (Bert Keifer); and a special friend, Todd McMurrin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Delores Meier; his sister, Tammy; and his two sons, Travis and Josh Meier.
