Ronald L. Cameron, 68, a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshaltown, Iowa, and formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City following a long illness. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Nick's Bar and Grill, 4958 Johnson Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Ronald was born May 12, 1949, to Clair and Alberta (Deeds) Cameron in Waterloo, Iowa. He served with the Marine Corp in Vietnam and later worked in the computer industry. He was a member of Toastmasters International and enjoyed traveling the world.
He is survived by three children. Christapher Cameron of Cedar Rapids, Michael (Amanda) Cameron of Marion and Carrianne (Scott) Amling of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family would appreciate donations for funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.
