Ronald Joe Landtiser Sr., 79, of Cedar Rapids, died at 6:43 a.m. March 31, 2021, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1941, in Livonia, Mo., to Birney and Seryice Snediger Landtiser. Ronald married Patricia Irene Linebaugh on Sept. 15, 1962, and she preceded him in death on July 15, 2016.
Growing up in the Ottumwa area, he moved to Cedar Rapids in 1962. Ronald worked for over 30 years at Rockwell
Collins in Cedar Rapids.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and bowling. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Ronald loved spending time with his family and little dog, Cali.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Tony) McNabb of Auburn, Wash; four grandsons, Blake, Justin, Raymond and Joey; and brothers, Gerald Landtiser of Ottumwa and Geary (Terry) Landtiser of Portland, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ronald J. "Jody" Landtiser Jr.; brothers, James, Faris and Gilbert Landtiser; sisters, Sue Ottoboni and Avis Crumes; and brother-in-law, Everett Linebaugh Jr.
His body has been cremated. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Last Hope Animal Rescue in Cedar Rapids.
