Ronald R. Ehlert, 75, of Marion, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at his home. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Friday, April 24, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Burial: 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Ehlert and Pat (Kay) Ehlert; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald was born Dec. 28, 1939, the son of Donald and Phyllis Ehlert in Carroll, Iowa. He was a 1958 graduate of Audubon High School. Ronald served with the U.S. Army in Germany. He worked at Quaker Oats for 28 years before retiring. Ronald was an avid Hawkeye fan.
