Ronald Eugene Dennis, 50, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his home after a long battle with illness. In respect of Ron's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
He is survived by his daughter, Morgan Dennis of Marion; sons, Jordan Dennis of Colorado, Mark Hoyer of Marion and Chris Hoyer of Anamosa; and daughter, Lilly Hoyer of Maquoketa.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron was born March 27, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Merle and Betty (Pillard) Dennis. Ronald graduated from Marion High School in 1983. He was employed at the Anamosa State Penitentiary for many years. Ron was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson. He also was a huge Denver Bronco fan.
Ron had the best sense of humor and could always put a smile on your face.
He loved his family and friends very much and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was always helping others and living life to the fullest.
