Ron was born June 18, 1950, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Arnold and Esther (O’Deen) Steenhoek. He passed away under Hospice Care after a lengthy struggle with esophageal cancer on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022.
For most of his adult life, he was an over the road truck driver. He dropped a fishing line or attended a stock car race at every opportunity!
Ron is survived by his three siblings, Connie Payn, John Steenhoek and Arthur Steenhoek; also his children Jacky McGrane, Amy, Skyler and Chris Steenhoek, Kamah Addison and Clayton Davis. He leaves behind several grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Angel Love Steenhoek.
His MacGyver way of fixing anything and his corny jokes will be missed by all who knew him.
A private family dinner will take place later.
