Ronald Bruce Jorgensen
Hiawatha
Ronald Bruce Jorgensen went home on May 28, 2022, and will be laid to rest next to his mother in Omaha, Neb.
Ron was born Aug. 19, 1943, to Earl and Carol Jorgensen in Omaha, Neb. Ron graduated from Central High School. He served honorably in the United States Army. Ron worked for Cummings Mid-West in Omaha and accepted a transfer to Cedar Rapids to open a new store. Most recently he was employed with Rochester Armored Car Co. Inc. Ron was a 32-degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the American Legion post 298 in Marion. He was a Cubs fan to the core and enjoyed cheering on the Hawkeyes. The only time he didn’t root for the Hawks was when they played Nebraska.
He is survived by his cousins of Omaha and the surrounding area.
A special thanks to Hiawatha Care Center, Kim and Stevie Jo, Dr. Nelsen, friends Lois Holland and Carol Wehrr, and Ron’s primary care provider the last eight years, Lanette and Dennis Kelly.
