Ronald Ray "Baitbucket" Whitney, 63, died Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; and children, Jeff (Majesta) of Chelsea, Jenn of Hiawatha, Shawn of Spirit Lake and Shelley of Council Bluffs.
Ron loved fishing, bowling and talking, as well as working on citizen band radios. He helped his wife deliver the newspaper and loved talking to the customers he would meet.
There will be a memorial potluck from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at Guthridge Park in Hiawatha.
