Ronald R. Armstrong, 89, of Clarence, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, by Pastor
Carol Mart. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Born July 12, 1925, in Cedar County, Iowa, he was the son of Birt and Leone Koppenhaver Armstrong. He married Marlene Barnes on June 24, 1977, at the Clarence United Methodist Church.
Ronald was a member of the Stanwood Masonic Lodge and the Clarence United Methodist Church. He was a farmer, an avid hunter and gun collecter and loved trap shooting.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; stepdaughters, Deb (Terry) Wagner of Clarence and Robin (Jim) Seago of Stanwood; six stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry; grandson, Tony; brother, Jim; and sister, Geneva.
