Ron Rohrig, 47, of Cedar Rapids, lost his battle with colon cancer on March 12, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Inurnment will be held in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Hazleton, at a later date.
Ron worked at Parker-Hannifin Corp. in Hiawatha for many years. He enjoyed camping, riding his Harley, kayaking and working on computers.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Rohrig; twin brother, Rod (Pam) Rohrig; sister, Robin (Dan) Phillips; girlfriend, Jenn Goerdt, and her son, Anthony; nephews, Justin Phillips, Jacob Phillips and Westley Rohrig; two aunts and several cousins; and his Parker-Hannifin family and camping friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Merlin; one aunt; two uncles; and grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to Hall-Perrine Cancer Center or the American Cancer Society.
