Rollins, Marilyn Lou
Marilyn Lou Rollins, 62, a longtime resident of Central City, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the Abbe Center in Marion. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday at Jordan's Grove Cemetery, rural Central City.
Marilyn was born July 17, 1949, the daughter of Jordan and Lois (Platt) Rollins in Cedar Rapids. She was a graduate of Central City High School. Marilyn enjoyed sharing her love for music by playing the piano for others, spending time with her cousins as well as her friends from the Abbe Center, and the sunny outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St Luke's Hospice in Cedar Rapids in memory of Marilyn.
