Roling, Lynn
Lynn Roling, 56, of Anamosa and formerly of Bellevue, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at his home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at . Surviving are his wife, Linda; his mother, Rosemary Roling, Bellevue; two children, Kim (John) Johnston, Cedar Rapids, and Chad Richardson and special friend, Katie, of Crowley, Texas; three grandchildren, Sean, Austin and Cole; three sisters, FayeAnn Roling, Bellevue, Nancy (Terry) Kieffer, Preston, and Mary Jo Roling-Dannar and special friend, Jeff Selzer, Cedar Rapids; two nephews, Travis and Dakota; and a niece, Amanda Rose Kieffer. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville; and a sister, Lavonne.
Lynn Anthony Roling was born August 3, 1955, at the Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa. He was the son of Orville and Rosemary Kilburg, Roling.
Lynn graduated from Bellevue Community Schools in 1973. He farmed with his parents and later worked for Flynn Ready-Mix in Dubuque.
Lynn married Linda (Taber) Richardson on August 18, 1984, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. The couple lived in Bellevue until 1992 when they moved to Anamosa. They owned the Rainbow Supper Club from 2000 to 2009. Lynn had recently been employed by Wendler Construction in Amana and Innovative Ag service in Monticello.
