Roland Paul Dierks
Corinth, TX
Roland Paul Dierks, 58, of Corinth, Texas, formerly of Clarence, Iowa went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, Texas.
A graveside committal will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21st at the Dierks Cemetery in Elvira, Iowa with the Rev. Nathan Wille officiating with a luncheon and celebration of life immediately following at the Lighthouse Inn in Clinton.
Rolly was born October 9, 1966, in Davenport, Iowa, the youngest child of Robert and Ruth Dierks. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stanwood, Iowa. He graduated from Olin Community High School in 1986. He enjoyed being able to attend Boy’s State while in school and spending time with friends. He grew up helping his parents on the farm, fostering a lifelong love of working outside and with large equipment.
Rolly was united in marriage to Christi Peyton on September 6, 2003. He often said it was the best decision he ever made. They were blessed with a son, Garrison. He was his pride and joy. Rolly had a lifelong gift of being able to see a slope and know what the grade needed to be for any project. His childhood play ended up being a skill that brought him such satisfaction over the years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Randall. He is survived by his wife Christi, and son Garrison Dierks; siblings, Robert Dierks, Russell Dierks, Rita (Larry) Frahm; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
