Roger Techau, 65, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Aug. 20, 2016. There will be a celebration of life for him from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Thomas Park safe room in Marion. Please bring a covered dish to share as well as any pictures of Roger you would like to share.
Roger Wayne Techau was born May 22, 1951, in Anamosa, Iowa. He liked to spend most of his time wood carving, reading, garage saling, socializing with everyone and being the best dad and grandpa he could be.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Leah DeVos, Sam, Hallie, Alexis, Ariana and Shawn Techau; his grandchildren, Trenten and Nevaeh DeVos; and his siblings, Joanne (Marvin) Yeater, Keith (Nelda) Techau, Sandy (Meryl) Fields, Virginia (James) Joslin, Linda Becker, Nancy (Kay) Techau and Ronnie (Patty) Techau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Dorothy Conner; sister, Beverly Tomas; nephew, Cory Steele; and granddaughter, Kamaree Williams.
A special thank you to his friends, Rosemary and Dave, for all of your help throughout his journey.
